One Snowy Day

First Day of the Spring Semester. Last Semester of School. First Snow Day of the Year!
When it's the beginning of something, it' always the last for something else.

So what to do on a snowy day?

Well my car lacks the ability to even function in the snow (and maybe the person behind the wheel isn't the best driver either)...therefore, I'm forced to stay in.

I woke up this morning with Chunk sitting on my bed staring out into the beautiful white crisp snow.

You know what tonight is. Bachelor : )
For anyone who might be the slightest bit interested in the in's and out's of the Bachelor and Spoilers, you might want to check out this website.

No school again tomorrow? Highly likely...
Stay warm!

How Do You Feel About This?

What is happening?
I am very disgusted (and maybe disgusted isn't the accurate word usage here, but for now it will work) with the Susan G. Komen Foundation. According to the Huffington Post article out today (January 4th) they are suing other charities for using the word "cure" and the color pink in their fund raising programs.

I don't quite understand the business world to much, but am smart enough to realize that their main goal usually is to make money. This is sadly proof for me that money is the first thing on their mind. If everyone is making a collaborative effort to raise money for charity then I don't understand the big deal. It's a word...cure. People want to cure cancer. I do not feel that the Susan G. Komen Foundation should own that word by any means, nor the color pink. This is as bad as Paris Hilton copyrighting the word "that's hot" -  I am very disappointed...

I don't know about anyone else, but I support breast cancer awareness and any fundraiser that wants to raise money for this cause. The more awareness the better. One organization is great, but multiple organizations are better.

It's Monday and You Know What That Means

It's The Bachelor!!!! : )

So - Monday nights is bonding time. My mom and I get together, eat some food and gossip about each girl in detail. I mean we talk about their attire, personality, looks, you name it. We then will rate each girl and guess how far they will go at the beginning & make predictions. I think this year we might even start a mini-journal and give stars for each girl based on first impressions! This is our time together where we can just relax and laugh. I also talk with my friends and people online about this too. (Maybe I shouldn't be divulging how into this show I really am, it's kinda pathetic to the outside folk). I'll be blogging on Mondays about my predictions and updates!

Here is what we are going to enjoy tonight during the premiere episode!
(I know it's not quite the healthiest or best thing for me
- but it just looked so good!)

Anyways - these past two days have been rough. I have had a pretty fantastic Christmas break and I think it's safe to say that I over did it. My body is now paying the price. Loads of fatigue, muscle pain, chest pain, tachycardia and migraines! : ( But it was so nice to enjoy my break! Last year I was in the hospital over New Years so this was great to spend it with some friends and ring in the new year with my grandma and mom. I treated them to the movie theater we have here in Omaha where you eat dinner and watch the movie. We sat in VIP and it was a great day! Especially to make my grandma so happy and take her out... she does so well for a 90year old lady.

Side Note: I just watched the movie "Because I Said So" again last night and it reminds me so much of my relationship with my mom. It makes me smile. If you haven't seen it - I would definitely recommend it!

20 minutes till' the premiere!
