I posted last week about a couple named Dustin & Kyli who are in desperate need of medical care and are way over $100,000 in medical debt and cannot afford health care. Also - because of their pre-existing conditions & disability, they are frequently denied health care :(

Dustin suffers from gastroparesis and is loosing weight at an unhealthy rapid rate & unable to keep food down...he is getting sicker by the minute. He also suffers from a condition known as EDS (Ehlers Danlos Syndrome) which is a defect in your collagen production that causes a multitude of symptoms.
On top of ALL this, they both suffer from a form of Dysautonomia, known as POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome)

(As a sufferer of POTS/Dysautonomia & EDS, I know how difficult these conditions can be. I am so blessed to still be covered under my mothers insurance, but due to pre-exisiting conditions that people suffer from, one day, I too will be in outrageous medical debt and only hope that if I was ever caught in a bind, I would have fellow friends that would help me out as well.)

OH my goodness I hope everything goes well with them! My prayers will go out to them tonight! I would LOVE to donate money but I am in the process of starting a small business while paying for college! You are so awesome for posting this and I will see what I can do about writing a blog post for them!

I'm so sorry for this couple and really wish I had money to help them out. Reading about situations like this make me despise all those people who were against Obama's healthcare plan a few years ago. We are one of the only countries where people like Dustin cannot get the health insurance he needs. It's pathetic.
I mean, I have been battling with health insurance companies myself for the past month because the companies want to raise my premium by $200 because I take over the counter allergy medication. So, I can't even IMAGINE how much they would charge someone like Dustin. Frightning.
PS. I was also horrified to see the photos of Omaha after the flooding. I grew up in Omaha and still visit friends there every year!
