This week marks the beginning of...
THE BACHELORETTE
This picture has a list of all the possible 25 Bachelor's who were shown the first day : )
This picture has a list of all the possible 25 Bachelor's who were shown the first day : )
We rank each guy from 1-5 (one as the lowest, 5 as the highest)
The notes in pink (on the left are my rankings) & the ones in red (on the right are my moms).
These are just our FIRST impression scores! We scored them right when they stepped out of the limo (so ranking them in about 15 seconds can be hard!)
It's fun to see how our opinions change over the course of the season & we actually get to see their personalities!!!
This picture is my rankings.
SO, I'm a little okay a lot, obsessed.
I take it to the extreme and make notes next to each guy so I can remember who they are & what I thought of them! Call me a dork, it's cool!
**Note: Jeff does not have a score because I refused to rank a man who wore a mask all night and acted strange! (PLUS, I couldn't see what he really looked like!)
Growing up, it was no one but me & my mom - no men & no siblings
SO
Monday nights are "girls" nights : )
Just me n' my mom
eating some ice cream
enjoying our guilty pleasure
laughing at scenes
judging men
& having fun

An Introduction to Fall Student Teaching
Today, I met my cooperating teacher, the principal of the school, and the first grade classroom!
I was informed that my classroom will have quite a few students with behavior disorders and according to the teaching "will definitely be a challenge!"
*deep breathe* Oh boy!
My student teaching consists of two semesters, since I have will have a dual degree in Elementary Education & Special Education.
Even though I will have quite a few first graders with behavior disorders, this semester is actually my general education classroom placement and (Spring) will be my special education placement!
The teachers there seemed very nice & had such a welcoming personality : )
I think it will be a good Fall semester!

Ah! This sounds like such an exciting assignment :D I'm so excited FOR you! What a great opportunity - and you're going to learn so much!
Aw that sounds like such fun! I love the Bachelorette :) xxx
I was going to comment and say you have such pretty handwriting, but then I kept reading and found out you are a teacher, and well duh! I feel like thats some crazy requirement....to have cute handwriting! I've always loved my mom's handwriting (and go figure, shes a teacher too!)
xox
@Sarah - thanks girl! I hope I learn a lot!!!
@Natalie - you should try doing it, ranking the men is so fun!
@Hannah - I love your handwriting comment : ) When I actually take notes I get SO picky if they look messy. I will take them home and re-write them! (Handwriting was one of the few things I was actually good at in elementary school! haha
I think that it's so cute that you and your mom do this! How fun. I may have to watch this season and follow along with you two!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! Came to return the comment.
Good luck with your student teaching! I did my students teaching placements over 4 years ago, and I remember it being the best 15 weeks of my life. I learned SO MUCH! And you are lucky that you get to spend an entire semester in one classroom; I was in 2 classrooms for 7 weeks each. Don't be nervous about students with behavioral disorders; just be firm and consistent. You'll be great!
this is too funny! what a great idea - must be so fun for you and your mom!
thanks for visiting us - looking forward to future posts!

love your blog! :)
sounds like a fun semester coming up.
never a dull moment with first graders
Haha I am obsessed with the Bachelor/Bachelorette too!! I force my boyfriend to watch it with me and I'm a lucky girl because he does. (Although he claims watching it is like watching a trainwreck, you can't look away even though it's awful, haha).
Sometimes we even play drinking games during it (I do not recommend taking a shot every time a contestant says the word "amazing" b/c you will get drunk in ten minutes). ;)
I wish I could remember all the guys names but it takes me a while to remember them. All I know is I'm creeped out by Bentley (who seems like he's going to be a royal d-bag) and I really like the guy who got the first impression rose. He seemed like a sweetie plus not bad looking at all. :P
Great post! xo
Haha oh my gosh girl you are your mum are too cute! I sat watching the bachelor with my boyfriend and let me tell you... I did not miss one minute. One night I just got off work right before it came on and I was so tired near the end that I closed my eyes and made my boyfriend tell me what the girls were wearing so I didn't even have to look only listen! (What a keeper right?) Anyway, I can totally relate! Thanks for stopping by my bloggy too by the way and for your utterly sweet comment - always appreciated and read :) Hope you had a great wednesday! x
