ONE week.
One week until I will officially be done with undergraduate classes.
One week until I will officially start student teaching.
In one week, my life will be different.

For the past 5 years I have been taking college classes, building a routine and actually enjoying the college life...yes, even the school work! It may seem odd, but I actually enjoy learning and being in class.
Throughout my last two years, I have become part of this family. I have become so close with the people in my education classes, (primarily my special education classes). We spend hours on end working on projects together, laughing, joking about stupid things, going out to the schools and completing practicum hours, and cramming last minute for exams!
Now, don't get me wrong, I am very happy to apply all the knowledge I have learned into the classroom and step into the schools full time, but I will miss everything I am leaving behind. We are all in different schools, spread out across different districts throughout multiple cities. The thing I will miss the most is not seeing them every week. I think change is difficult for everyone, and this is definitely bittersweet for me.
My to do list
*that needs to be completed in ONE week*

*that needs to be completed in ONE week*
- Purchase teaching clothes: I have a couple dress pants, but could use plenty more. I really looking to purchase multiple colored cardigans that I can switch up with a couple shirts for my staple "go to" look. Shopping trip soon!!!
- Organize all my children's books & make a spreadsheet where I can look them up for easy access!
- Speaking of books, sadly Border's is closing...but! CHEAP BOOKS! I will definitely be making multiple stops there throughout the month! :) You can never pass up sweet deals!
- Plan out my lunches. I need to go shopping and buy food that I can bring with me. If you have some good tips or food that you like, I would love to hear all of them!
- Take my gram shopping on our last Wednesday together! :) As many of you probably know, I take my gram to Organ class and take her so she can go out to eat with her friends after. She is dying to have a new "stylish" purse and requests that we go to the mall this Wednesday together!
- Finish ALL my projects for my final class. They are all due the day I start student teaching :/ eeeek - This is going to be one BUSY week.
- Doctors appointment on Monday. I finally got a new internist :) Your internist/PCP is the one you should have a good connection with and who will listen and work with you/your other doctors. I did not have a good relationship with my previous one and am excited to move forward with my new one!
- ...and making time for everything else that may pop up and come my way

i miss ur posts girlie

You need to try the Black Bean Salad recipe that is posted on Bex...A Style Diary. It is honestly TO DIE FOR! So fresh and delicious. You could make a batch, divvy it out into little containers and pack a whole wheat tortilla to put it in or some chips and you'd be set! So yummy :)
Best of luck to you! I'm entering my senior year in college right now so I feel the stress & excitement building! Whew!
Cardigans are lifesavers! They go with everything and I love the ones with the little frills on them. My go to cardigan store: target!
As for the tattoo thing, I'm being dead honest. The "hurt" depends on placement. But I was taught that to get over the pain of it, "separate yourself from the pain" is what my dad always told me. The one time I didn't do that, I totally regret it because it wasn't so easy. But it's not that bad at all. I have 3 and I'm getting my anchor when I come home from vacation. It's a totally liberating feeling and once you get one, you'll want a ton more!
@Pebbz - thanks girl! I hope to post at least 4x week :) I hope!
@Chelsea - I can't wait to try that salad, it looks amazing.
@Amy - good luck with your senior year! Isn't it crazy how fast it goes? I love Targets clothes :) I am hoping they will get more cardigans in soon! Thanks for the honesty about the tattoo's! Can't wait to see your anchor and if I ever decide to get mine, I will let you know!
omg, i am so excited for you! isn't it funny how when the end of school is coming that it can actually be a bittersweet moment? i remember how many times i said, "i can't wait to get out of school" while i was in it - then, when it came i was actually sad. now that i've been in the work force for a while, school wasn't so bad at all! i am mostly excited for you because you will be changing lives - i am so glad you are becoming a teacher! we can never have enough of it! xx
you are one busy girl!
Your gram will miss your Wednesdays together, you'll have to make Sat. or Sun. your "day" now.
It's a pain buying work clothes! I remember I had to buy a ton after i first started working. Good luck on student teaching!
For lunch, I like to bring sandwiches, salads, bagels with sides like fruit, string cheese, yogurt, or crackers. Stuff like that.
Oh wow! Congrats on graduating and good luck with everything! The student teaching sounds scary and exciting at the same time.
It seems you have so much to do within only a week. Good luck with everything. I can't wait to hear how it all goes! xo
LOVE this blog layout! Super cute :) Also: YAY for everything almost being done :D So exciting that you're getting to the best part - but, also, sad that you're 'growing up' I can't wait to hear about the next chapter though! You're gonna do beautifully :)
Hi! Love your blog!! Congradulations on the teaching gig! Hope everything works out for you! http://northernsunshine72.blogspot.com
